Former India Player Gautam Gambhir will play for India Maharajas in upcoming Legends League Cricket (LLC). India Maharajas will be lead by former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly while World Giant's will captained by former English skipper Eoin Morgan.
Gautam Gambhir said in an official release
"I am glad to share that I have committed to take part in the upcoming Legends League Cricket (LLC) from September 17th onwords. I am excited in anticipation of being on a cricket field once again. It will be privilege and and honour to rub shoulder once again with glittereti of world's cricket"
Also, Raman Raheja, Co-founder and CEO of Legends League Cricket (LLC) said, " Who will ever forget Gautam's match winning 97 runs in the 2011 World Cup finals?" I am sure fans will be expecting to experience the same nerve chilling performance from Gautam and other iconic player in Season 2"
The upcoming season 2 of Legends League Cricket (LLC) is scheduled to be played in six cities of India.(Kolkata, Cuttack, Delhi, Lucknow, Jodhpur, Rajkot). This time total 4 teams will participate LLCT20 and 15 matches will be played. The LLC 2022 will start with a special match dedicated to 75th year of Indian Independence between India Maharajas and World Giant's. The first edition of Legends League Cricket is held in Oman in January, 2022.
India's one of the most attacking and successful opening batsmen Gautam Gambhir represents India in 147 ODIs, 58 Test and 37 T20IS, scoring total 6,170 runs in ODI format and 4,154 runs in test matches. He has also captained many IPL teams in likes of Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knight Riders. In his captaincy KKR Won 2 tittle of Indian Premier league (IPL) in year 2012 and 2014. Currently, he is mentor of Lucknow Supergiants in IPL.
Gautam Gambhir has been a part of India's World Cup winning Squad in 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa and 2011 ICC ODI World Cup. His partnership with Mahendra Singh Dhoni in world cup finals is one of best ODIs partnership.
