IPL is a most popular T20 Cricket League across the globe.It was founded and managed by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The IPL was started from the year 2008 till now total 15 seasons have been completed. There are a total of ten teams in the IPL. However, only six team have won the IPL trophy. The IPL is held every year between the months of March and May.

Mumbai Indians (MI) 


Mumbai Indians (MI)  are the most successful team in the history of IPL.The team won a total five IPL titles under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma in the year  (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020). Mumbai Indians have played a total of 231 matches out of which they have won 129 matches and have a percentage of 56.7. 



Chennai Super Kings (CSK) 


Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the second most successful team in the IPL. They have won a total four IPL trophies under the leadership of MS Dhoni (2010, 2011,2018,2021). CSK played Total 209 matches and won 121, winning percentage of 58.41. CSK is the only team to have reached the playoffs every season except 2020 and 2022. 




Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) 

 

KKR is the only team to win more than one IPL trophy after MI and CSK. Kolkata Knight Riders won the 2012 and 2014 edition of IPL under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir.



The teams like Deccan Chargers, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans have won only one IPL title while Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, are the only teams to have not won any edition of Indian Premier League.
