Virat Kohli celebrating his 71st international Century

Virat Kohli scored his 71st international century after 3 years against Afghanistan at Dubai international cricket stadium. He made his last international hundred against Bangladesh in November 2019. Virat Kohli dedicated his century to his wife Anushka Sharma and daughter Vamika. The wait for his 71st hundred is ended with his 122* runs knock against Afghanistan on Thursday.

This hundred is for her, and for little daughter Vamika as well", Six weeks off and I was refreshed. I realised how tired I was but this break allowed me to enjoy the game again.  Virat Kohli said after match.

Virat opens the innings with captain KL Rahul and gives a strong partnership of 119 runs. Kl Rahul scored 62 Runs off 41 balls while Virat scored an outstanding hundred, which is also his maiden century in T20Is. He became the fourth Indian after Suresh Raina, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma to score a century in all three formats.

A big smile on Virat's face after scoring his 71st international century. He scored unbeaten 122 runs off just 61 balls against Afghanistan in Super 4 Match in Asia Cup. KL Rahul on Virat Kohli's Performance -

Obviously, scoring runs is a huge bonus for the team, and the way he played today against Afghanistan, I know he is very very pleased with how he batted today. He has been working on his game and that walked beautifully today. As a team, it is important for every player to spend time out in the middle. (Rahul said in post match PC)

You get confidence if you play 2-3 innings, really happy that he could play that way. You all know of Virat Kohli. You have been watching him for so many years. It is not like he will only score centuries if he opens the batting, If he bats at no. 3 he can also be a sports century. It is all about roles and what role a certain player has, he added.

"The role of Virat is that he plays it beautifully. In the next series we play his role would be different". he added
