India Vs South Africa 

South Africa tour of India 2022 is scheduled to start from September 28 in Thiruvananthapuram. The second and third T20 match will be played on October 2 in Guwahati and October 4 in Indore.

After that there is a three-match ODI series that is also scheduled to be played between India and South Africa. The first ODI will be played on October 6 in Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow while second and third ODI will be played at Ranchi and Delhi on October 9 and 11. 

This Series will be the final preparation for both the Teams before the Upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 which is scheduled to be played in Australia in October- November.

 

India won the three-match T20I Series against Australia recently after an exciting final match which was played at Hyderabad on Sunday. Now it's time to face the South African T20 side led by Temba Bavuma. South Africa is playing really good cricket at the moment. They have recently defeated England and Ireland in a T20 series. 

These two teams had met earlier in the month of June where the series levelled 2-2 while the final Match was washed out due to rain in Bengaluru. But this time both teams want to win the three Match T20 series which will kick-start from 28 September. One interesting fact for all Cricket fans is " India is yet to defeat South Africa in bilateral T20I series at home since  2019"

Shreyash Iyyer replaces injured Deepak Hooda in the team : 

Deepak Hooda ruled out of the T20I series against South Africa due to back injury. Shreyash Iyyer replaced him ahead of the first T20I in Thiruvananthapuram. 

Left-Arm Spinner Shahbaz Ahmed replaced all-rounder Hardik Pandya : 

Shahbaz Ahmed, a young Left-Arm spinner has replaced all-rounder Hardik Pandya. According to reports, Hardik Pandya has been given rest from the T20I against South Africa.

Mohammad Shami ruled-out from T20I series against South Africa : 

Mohammed Shami is not fully recovered from the Covid-19, thus he has been ruled out of the three match T20 series against South Africa. Shami was earlier selected in the 15 members squad but not played after tested positive for Covid-19 just before India Vs Australia three match T20 series.
